John Jenkins takes a hands on approach to
training. He likes to get to know his horses personalities before designing
their training programme. By limiting the string to a maximum of 60 horses,
John is able to devote sufficient time to each individual horse.
Wendy Jenkins is administrative manager and usual point of first contact for
general enquiries. She organises all the entries to the race meetings and other
administrative details concerned with running a successful training
establishment. The stable has a total of 12 full time staff, supplemented by a
team of experienced part time work riders.
Mark Bramley, the head lad, accompanies the horses to race meetings and
looks after their welfare during the trip and race preparations. He makes sure
the horses arrive in good time for the race, have recovered from the journey
and are raring to go. After the race, the horses are rested before beginning
the journey home. Kings Ride is a very friendly stable, and welcomes enquiries
from owners about horses, their training, or to arrange a visit to see the
horse working.
If you are interested in working with horses, please
John/Wendy about available opportunities.
